Prescription Policy

The FDA REQUIRES a prescription for selected items sold on this site including CPAP and Bi-level Machines, CPAP Masks, Humidifiers, Provent Therapy.

Prescriptions are NOT required for other items including headgear, tubing, filters, mask parts, machine parts, comfort accessories, and other miscellaneous supplies.

HOW DO I KNOW IF A PRESCRIPTION IS REQUIRED?

“Prescription Required” will appear on the product page for all items that require one. If you see “Prescription Required” you will be allowed to place your order, but SleepQuest will not be able to fulfill the order until we have verified the receipt of a valid prescription for the items ordered.

WHAT IF ALREADY HAVE A PRESCRIPTION OF FILE WITH SLEEPQUEST?

If you have previously provided SleepQuest with a valid prescription for the items ordered, you are NOT required to provide it again. SleepQuest will check your records prior to processing your order to determine if a valid prescription is already on file.

HOW OFTEN DO YOU NEED A NEW PRESCRIPTION?

Generally, a prescription for a CPAP device and/or supplies is good for the lifetime of the therapy. However, changes to the therapy may require a new prescription. If SleepQuest has already received a prescription and it does not cover any items you have ordered, you will be contacted to obtain an updated prescription.

WHO CAN SIGN MY PRESCRIPTION?

We can ONLY accept prescriptions from a U.S. Medical Doctor (MD), Primary Care Physician (PCP), Psychiatrist, Dentist, Doctor of Osteopathy, Physician's Assistant (PA), Nurse Practitioner (NP), or Naturopathic Physician.
