AirSense 10 Card to Cloud Review
The Resmed AirSense 10 family of Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) devices are some of the most popular machines for treating obstructive sleep apnea. These devices are used to deliver pressurized air as you sleep to prevent the upper airways from becoming blocked and the breathing difficulties that arise from this.
The AirSense 10 Card to Cloud (C2) is an updated version of the award winning AirSense 10 CPAP, which has been adapted because of the global supply chain shortages. The Airsense 10 C2C delivers updated device which supplies all the benefits of the original AirSense 10 line of CPAPs :, integrated humidifier and Auto Climate Control, Auto Ramp and Pressure Relief, Smart Start, a full color display, while still maintaining a light and compact size weighing in at only 2.75 lbs.
The only difference is the C2C model does not have an internal cellular modem, thus, does not have wireless capabilities. The internal modem would automatically upload your data to the Cloud where your doctor could review it, if necessary.
But due to the on-going supply chain issues, Resmed elected to remove the cellular modem which was causing critical production delays. So even though this decision removed an integral component of the CPAP, this step sped up the delivery of these necessary medical devices to needy patients. More importantly, your doctor still has the ability to review your sleep data: they just have to upload the data directly from the included SD card. One minor step in effort to get you started on your sleep apnea treatment and beginning to feel the benefits of CPAP therapy a lot sooner.
Let’s look at the main features of the AirSense 10 Card to Cloud machine.
- Store Sleep Data on an SD Card
The AirSense range of CPAP machines record data for your doctor to review. The AirSense 10 C2C differs from the previous model as it only comes with an SD card which can be used to store your key sleep data and used by your doctor to review your nightly sleep data.
- Integrated Humidifier
The AirSense 10 C2C CPAP has an integrated humidifier, which works in conjuction with the ClimateLineAir Heated Tube and the Auto Climate Control feature, to help deal with the dry mouth, sore throat, congestion, and even infection, some users might feel when breathing dry air. For those who don’t need to use the humidifier, you can purchase the optional Airsense 10 Side Cover to eliminate the sound of any airflow emitted through the empty chamber..
- Auto Ramp and Pressure Relief
The Auto Ramp feature makes using your C2C more comfortable by initially supplying air at a modest pressure while you fall asleep. Once you are asleep the pressure is gradually increased to the prescribed level.
- SmartStart
SmartStart technology automatically turns on your C2C as soon as you breathe into the mask. This is useful if you fall asleep as soon as your head hits the pillow and ensuring you are comfortable in bed before turning the C2C on.
- Full-Color LCD Display
The LCD display and interface makes it easier to navigate the screens and change your comfort settings. The full-color display uses different colors to signify the progress of the treatment’s stages. Colors are also used to indicate whether there is an issue with the humidifier and whether your mask is leaking air.
- Compact
The device measures 10 x 4.5 x 6 inches and sits easily on a bedside table. At 2.75 lbs, the machine is 23% lighter than previous models which helps make the C2C less cumbersome and more portable.
- Quiet
The C2C has a noise level of just 26 decibels, which is quieter than a whisper and is ideal for light sleepers and will also reassure you your partner will get a restful night’s sleep as well
